No. Canouan (CIW/TVSC) is equipped with runway lights and instrument approaches, allowing for night operations. This is a massive advantage over Mustique or Union Island, as it means a late afternoon departure from Miami is viable, and you won't be stranded if your flight is delayed past 6:00 PM.
Can I take a boat to Mustique for lunch?
Yes. Mustique is approximately 12 nautical miles north. A fast powerboat can make the crossing in about 30–40 minutes, depending on sea conditions. Many of our clients use Canouan as their "logistical base" (landing the heavy jet here) and then take day trips to Mustique or the Tobago Cays.
Is there a dress code for the resort restaurants?
It is "Resort Elegant." While not as formal as the original Sandy Lane in Barbados, the Mandarin Oriental and the Estate restaurants generally require collared shirts and long trousers for men at dinner. The Soho Beach House is significantly more relaxed, allowing for shorts and high-end casual wear in the evenings.
Do I need a visa for St. Vincent and the Grenadines?
US, UK, and Canadian citizens do not need a visa for stays up to varying lengths (typically 1-6 months), but you must have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining. You will fill out an immigration form upon arrival at the private terminal.
